أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ، نا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُوسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ،
قَالَ: أَتَى رَجُلٌ إِلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: أَلَا أَقُومُ إِلَى هَذَا السُّلْطَانِ فآمُرُهُ وَأَنْهَاهُ؟ قَالَ: " لَا تَكُنْ لَكَ فِتْنَةً " قَالَ: أَفَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ أَمَرَنِي بِمَعْصِيَةٍ؟ قَالَ: " فَذَاكَ الَّذِي تُرِيدُ، فَكُنْ حِينَئِذٍ رَجُلًا "
