سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السَّلَمِيَّ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ مَنْصُورَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ الْعَبَّاسَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْوَاسِطِيَّ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنَ يُونُسَ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ ذَا النُّونِ
يَقُولُ: " إِيَّاكَ أَنْ تَكُونَ بِالْمَعْرِفَةِ مُدَّعِيًا، أَوْ تَكُونَ بِالزُّهْدِ مُحْتَرِفًا، أَوْ تَكُونَ بِالْعِبَادَةِ مُتَعَلِّقًا "
