He said: "Whoever is ignorant of the purpose of the address is unable to give the answer itself. Envy is a wound that does not heal, for the envier is made to suffer enough by what he meets. There is no wickedness [worse] than that in religion, and nothing enriches like gentleness. A wound whose [cure] he who withheld [unclear] wished for; the gift of ambergris [unclear] over what can be lifted; the most accustomed thing is that whose benefit one possesses. The best provision is knowing the proof. Keeping company with the people of piety is the best of the goods of this world. For affectation there is its [bitter] end; [unclear] he became lazy. Leave what brings regret in its wake, even if its immediate result is safety. Whoever is ignorant of his worth tears his own covering. Generosity is an increase. Domineering over the weak is baseness, and leaping against the strong is ill omen. Many an honored person is humiliated, and many a poor person is protected. The ignorant is not repaid with his ignorance, and the foolish is hoped for [to be treated] like his like. The greatness of your knowledge is the expending of your strength."
