أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَمْرٍو الْأَدِيبُ، أَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْإِسْمَاعِيلِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، ثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ،
قَالَ: الْإِسْمَاعِيلِيُّ، وَثَنًا عِمْرَانُ، ثَنَا عُثْمَانُ، قَالَا: ثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ: " شَرِبَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ سِقَاءٍ فَانْسَابَ فِي بَطْنِهِ جَانٌّ، فَنَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ اخْتِنَاثِ الْأَسْقِيَةِ " " كَذَا وَجَدْتُهُ فِي كِتَابِ الْإِسْمَاعِيلِيِّ وَهُوَ بِهَذَا اللَّفْظِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ غَرِيبٌ وَإِنَّمَا هُوَ عِنْدَنَا، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ هَارُونَ ".

Hārūn narrated to us, Ibn Abī Dhiʾb informed us, from al-Zuhrī, from ʿUbaydullāh, from Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī, who said: "A man drank from a waterskin and a jinni slipped into his belly, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade turning down the mouths of waterskins (ikhtināth al-asqiyah)." "Thus I found it in the book of al-Ismāʿīlī, and in this wording from the hadith of Ibn Abī Dhiʾb it is unfamiliar (gharīb); with us it is only from Yazīd b. Hārūn."
