أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْأَصْبَانِيُّ، ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ فِرَاسٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْخَوَّاصَ
يَقُولُ: قَالَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ: " لَا يَطْمَعُ أَحَدٌ فِي السَّهَرِ مَعَ الشِّبَعِ، وَلَا يَطْمَعُ فِي الْحُزْنِ مَعَ كَثْرَةِ النَّوْمِ، وَلَا يَطْمَعُ فِي صِحَّةِ أَمْرِهِ مَعَ مُخَالَطَةِ الظَّلَمَةِ، وَلَا يَطْمَعُ فِي لِينِ الْقَلْبِ مَعَ فُضُولِ الْكَلَامِ، وَلَا يَطْمَعُ فِي حُبِّ اللهِ مَعَ حُبِّ الْمَالِ، وَالشَّرَفِ، وَلَا يَطْمَعُ فِي الْأُنْسِ بِاللهِ مَعَ الْأُنْسِ بِالْمَخْلُوقِينَ، وَلَا يَطْمَعُ فِي الرُّوحِ مَعَ الرَّغْبَةِ فِي الدُّنْيَا "
