أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا بَكْرٍ الْمُقْرِئَ الطِّرَازِيَّ، يَقُولُ: أَنْشَدَنَا الْوَزِيرُ أَبُو مُزَاحِمٍ الْخَاقَاتِيُّ مُوسَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ خَاقَانَ لِنَفْسِهِ:
[البحر الرجز] الصِّدْقُ حُلْوٌ وَهُوَ الْمُرُّ... وَالصِّدْقُ لَا يَتْرُكُهُ الْحُرُّ جَوْهَرَةُ الصِّدْقِ لَهَا زِينَةٌ... يَحْسُدُهَا الْيَاقُوتُ وَالدُّرُّ.
