أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، أنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، نا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، نا عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَشْجَعِيُّ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، وَمَنْصُورٌ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَادِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ،
قَالَ: " أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا رَأَيْنَا الْمَدَّاحِينَ أَنْ نَحْثُوا فِي وُجُوهِهُمُ التُّرَابَ "
