أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلُوشَا بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ نَصرٍ الْأَسَدُ، أَبَادِي بِهَا، نا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ حَمْدَانَ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، نا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ بِشْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَسَدِيُّ، نا الْمُقْرِي هُوَ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، نا حَيْوَةُ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ زِيَادٍ الْيَحْصِبِيُّ، أَنَّ أَبَا فِرَاسٍ، مَوْلَى عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو أَخْبَرَهُ،
أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو، يَقُولُ: " النَّوْمُ ثَلَاثَةٌ: فَنَوْمٌ خَرَقٌ، وَنَوْمٌ خَلَقٌ، وَنَوْمٌ حُمْقٌ، فَأَمَّا نَوْمُ خَرَقٍ: فَنَوْمَةُ الضُّحَى يَقْضِي النَّاسُ حَوَائِجَهُمْ وَهُوَ نَائِمٌ، وَأَمَّا نَوْمُ خَلَقٍ: فَنَوْمَةُ الْقَايِلَةِ نِصفِ النَّهَارِ، وَأَمَّا نَوْمَةُ حُمْقٍ: نَوْمَةٌ حِينَ تَحْضُرُ الصلَاةُ "
