And with his chain of transmission he said: I heard Dhū l-Nūn al-Miṣrī say: "Go hungry and be alone, and you will see wonders. Whoever loves God lives, and whoever inclines to other than Him goes astray. The fool goes out in the morning and returns in the evening over nothing, while the intelligent person closely examines the thoughts of his own soul."
