أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْمُقْرِئُ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ لَبِيدٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ،
أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ بِمِثْلِ الْبَيْضَةِ مِنَ الذَّهَبِ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، هَذِهِ صَدَقَةٌ وَمَا تَرَكْتُ بَعْدِي لِأَهْلِي غَيْرَهَا، قَالَ: فَخَذَفَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِهَا، وَلَوْ أَصَابَهُ لَأَوْجَعَهُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: " يَعْمِدُ أَحَدُكُمْ فَيَنْخَلِعُ مِنْ مَالِهِ ثُمَّ يَصِيرُ عِيَالًا عَلَى النَّاسِ "
