أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الْفَقِيهُ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مَعْقِلٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ، حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ،
قَالَ: اسْتُعْمِلَ زَيْدُ بْنُ أَسْلِمَ عَلَى مَعْدِنِ بَنِي سُلَيْمٍ وَكَانَ مَعْدِنًا لَا يَزَالُ يُصَابُ فِيهِ الْإِنْسَانُ مِنْ قِبَلِ الْجِنِّ، فَشَكَوْا ذَلِكَ إِلَى زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلِمَ: " فَأَمَرَهُمْ بِالْأَذَانِ، وَأَنْ يَرْفَعُوا بِهِ أَصْوَاتَهُمْ، فَفَعَلُوا فَانْقَطَعَ ذَلِكَ عَنْهُمْ " فَهُمْ عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى الْيَوْمِ وقَالَ مَالِكٌ: " وَأَعْجَبَنِي ذَلِكَ عَنْ مَشُورَةِ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلِمَ "
