the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, from her father, who said: "On Friday there is an hour which no Muslim happens upon, asking Allah for good, except that He gives it to him." I said: "O my father, which hour is it?" He said: "When half of the sun has sunk toward setting." So whenever it was Friday, Fāṭimah would order a servant boy of hers, called Zayd, to climb up to the high places, and she would say: "When half of the sun has sunk toward setting, let me know." He would climb up, and when half of the sun had sunk toward setting he informed her, and she would stand and enter the mosque until the sun set, and she would pray.

machine translational-Bayhaqī, may Allah have mercy on him, said: "Aḥmad b. ʿUmar al-Wakīʿī narrated it from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Muḥammad al-Muḥāribī with his chain and its meaning. In the book of Aḥmad there was 'filled' (malaʾa), and I think he said 'half of the sun toward setting', meaning it fell. In the narration of Aḥmad b. ʿUmar he said: from Zayd b. ʿAlī, from the one who narrated to him, and he did not say from Marjānah. And he said: 'When you see that half of the sun has sunk toward setting, then inform me.'"
