أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ الْعَدْلُ، حدثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَحْمَدَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ أَبِي بَزَّةَ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنَ سُلَيْمَانَ، مَوْلَى بَنِي شَيْبَةَ
يَقُولُ: قَرَأْتُ عَلَى إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْمَكِّيِّ فَلَمَّا بَلَغْتُ الضُّحَى قَالَ لِي: " كَبِّرْ حَتَّى تَخْتِمَ " فَإِنِّي قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ فَأَمَرَنِي بِذَلِكَ، قَالَ: قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مُجَاهِدٍ فَأَمَرَنِي بِذَلِكَ، قَالَ: إِنَّهُ قَرَأَ عَلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَأَمَرَهُ بِذَلِكَ، وَأُخْبِرَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّهُ قَرَأَ عَلَى ابْنِ كَعْبٍ فَأَمَرَهُ بِذَلِكَ قَالَ الْإِمَامُ أبو خُزَيْمَةَ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ: " أَنَا خَائِفٌ أَنْ يَكُونَ قَدْ أَسْقَطَ ابْنُ أَبِي بَزَّةَ أَوْ عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ مِنْ هَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ شِبْلًا، يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِسْمَاعِيلَ وَابْنَ كَثِيرٍ " قَالَ: الْبَيْهَقِيُّ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ وَقَدْ

If al-Kudaymī memorized it, then in it is a corroboration of the narration of Ibn Khuzaymah, and Ismāʿīl heard it from both of them, except that in this narration there is an additional link in the chain, while Ibn Khuzaymah narrated it as mawqūf (stopping at a Companion), and its chain is well known.
