أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ بِبَغْدَادَ، أخبرنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَارُ، حدثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ الرَّمَادِيُّ، حدثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أخبرنا الثَّوْرِيُّ، ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أخبرنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلْمَانَ الْفَقِيهُ، حدثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ شَاكِرٍ، وَأَبُو إِسْمَاعِيلَ التِّرْمِذِيُّ، وَإِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالُوا: حدثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حدثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ، عَنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ ؓ
قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ - وَفِي رِوَايَةِ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ - يَقُولُ: " أَفْضَلُكُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ وَعَلَّمَهُ "

Marthad, from Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Sulamī, from ʿUthmān b. ʿAffān, may Allah be pleased with him.
