أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ الْقَطَّانُ بِبَغْدَادَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ النَّحْوِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى بْنِ هِلَالٍ السَّلَمِيِّ، عَنِ الْعِرْبَاضِ بْنِ سَارِيَةَ، صَاحِبِ
النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ، يَقُولُ: " إِنِّي عَبْدُ اللهِ وَخَاتَمُ النَّبِيِّينَ وَإِنَّ آدَمَ لَمُنْجَدِلٌ فِي طِينَتِهِ، وَسَأُخْبِرُكُمْ عَنْ ذَلِكَ؛ دَعْوَةِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَبِشَارَةُ عِيسَى بِي، وَرُؤْيَا أُمِّي الَّتِي رَأَتْ وَكَذَلِكَ أُمَّهَاتُ النَّبِيِّينَ يَرَيْنَ، وَإِنَّ أُمَّ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، رَأَتْ حِينَ وَضَعَتْهُ نُورًا أَضَاءَتْ لَهُ قُصُورُ الشَّامِ "

قَالَ الْبَيْهَقِيُّ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ: وَرَوَاهُ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنِ الْعِرْبَاضِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ: " إِنِّي عِنْدَ اللهِ فِي أُمِّ الْكِتَابِ لَخَاتَمُ النَّبِيِّينَ وَإِنَّمَا أَرَادَ - وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ - أَنَّهُ كَذَلِكَ فِي قَضَاءِ اللهِ وَتَقْدِيرِهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَكُونَ آدَمُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامِ، وَأَمَّا دَعْوَةُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ، فَإِنَّهُ لَمَّا أَخَذَ فِي بِنَاءِ الْبَيْتِ دَعَا اللهَ تَعَالَى فَقَالَ: {رَبَّنَا وَابْعَثْ فِيهِمْ رَسُولًا مِنْهُمْ يَتْلُو عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتِكَ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ} [البقرة: 129] فَاسْتَجَابَ اللهُ دُعَاءَهُ فِي نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ، وَأَمَّا بِشَارَةُ عِيسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فَهُوَ أَنَّ اللهَ تَعَالَى أَمَرَ عِيسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ، فَبَشَّرَ بِهِ قَوْمَهُ فَعَرَّفَهُ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُخْلَقَ "

Saʿīd, from al-ʿIrbāḍ, from the Prophet ﷺ: "I am with Allah, in the Mother of the Book, the Seal of the Prophets." As for the glad tidings of ʿĪsā, peace be upon him: Allah the Exalted commanded ʿĪsā, peace be upon him, and he gave glad tidings of him to his people, and made him known to the Children of Israel before he was created.
