أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْقَطَّانُ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ مَاتِي الْكُوفِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَازِمِ بْنِ أَبِي غَرَزَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا طَلْقُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، عَنِ الْمَسْعُودِيِّ، عَنْ جَوَابِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنِ الْمَعْرُورِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ، عَنْ عُمَرَ ؓ،
قَالَ: " يَا مَعْشَرَ الْقُرَّاءِ ارْفَعُوا رُءُوسَكُمْ مَا أَوْضَحَ الطَّرِيقَ، فَاسْتَبِقُوا الْخَيْرَاتِ، وَلَا تَكُونُوا كَلَّا عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ "
