He would say: "Among the attributes of the wise person is that he is easy to lead and gentle in disposition, bearing the ignorance of the ignorant. Among the noblest of the wise person's character is humility before God through submission and meekness, and through it he attains honor. Three are signs of mercy: give precedence to reason for the distressed, weeping of the heart for the orphan and the poor, and the absence of gloating over the misfortunes of the Muslims. And three are signs of sincere advice: grieving of the heart over the misfortunes of the Muslims, offering them sincere advice while swallowing the bitterness of their suspicions, and guiding them to their own interests even if they are ignorant of it and dislike it." There has already passed, in the chapter on noble character, a sufficient amount of this kind of hadiths and accounts, God willing.
