أَنْشَدَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيُّ أَنْشَدَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ الْمِصْرِيُّ، أَنْشَدَنِي أَبِي لِمَنْصُورٍ:
" [البحر المجتث] أَذْنَبْتُ ذَنْبًا عَظِيمًا... وَأَنْتَ أَعْظَمُ مِنْهُ فَجُدْ بِعَفْوِكَ أَوْ لَا... فَاصْفَحْ بِحِلْمِكِ عَنْهُ إِنْ لَمْ أَكُنْ فِي فِعَالِي... مِنَ الْكِرَامِ فَكُنْهُ"
