أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ يَعْقُوبَ الشَّيْبَانِيَّ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ جَعْفَرَ بْنَ عَوْنٍ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ مِسْعَرَ بْنَ كِدَامٍ يُنْشِدُ:
" [البحر الكامل] وَمُشَيِّدًا دَارًا لِيَسْكُنَهُ... سَكَنَ الْقُبُورَ وَدَارُهُ لَمْ يُسْكَنِ"
