أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَنَا الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ، بَأَسَدَأَبَادَ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مَطَرٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الرَّبِيعَ بْنَ سُلَيْمَانَ،
قَالَ: قَالَ الشَّافِعِيُّ: " يَا رَبِيعُ عَلَيْكَ بِالزُّهْدِ فَلَلزُّهْدِ عَلَى الزَّاهِدِ أَحْسَنُ مِنَ الْحُلِيِّ عَلَى الْمَرْأَةِ النَّاهِدِ، فَصْلٌ فِي ذَمِّ بِنَاءِ مَا لَا يُحْتَاجُ إِلَيْهِ مِنَ الْقُصُورِ وَالدُّورِ "
