حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ أَبِي عُتْبَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَشدَّ حَيَاءً مِنَ الْعَذرَاءِ فِي خِدْرِهَا وَكَانَ إِذَا كَرِهَ شَيْئًا عَرَفْنَاهُ فِي وَجْهِهِ

Translation

"He ﷺ was more bashful than the virgin in her boudoir, and when he disapproved of something, we knew it from the expression on his face.”
