حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ وَيُوسُفُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ قَالا حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي عصَامَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ

كَانَ يَتَنَفَّسُ فِي الإِنَاءِ ثَلاثًا إِذَا شَرِبَ وَيَقُولُ هُوَ أَمْرَأُ وَأَرْوَى

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Qutaybah b. Saʿīd And Yūsuf b. Ḥammād
  2. ʿAbd al-Wārith b. Saʿīd
  3. Abū ʿṢām
  4. Anas b. Mālik
  5. al-Nabī ﷺ

"The Prophet ﷺ used to breathe into the vessel three times when he drank, and he would say: 'It is more wholesome and more thirst-quenching!’”
