أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ بُرْدًا يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ شَرِبَ فِي إِنَاءِ ذَهَبٍ أَوْ إِنَاءِ فِضَّةٍ فَإِنَّمَا يُجَرْجِرُ فِي بَطْنِهِ النَّارَ» خَالَفَهُ عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي رَوَّادَ رَوَاهُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَوْلَهُ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرِ الذَّهَبَ وَالْفِضَّةَ وَالصَّوَابُ مِنْ ذَلِكَ كُلِّهِ حَدِيثُ أَيُّوبَ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: “Whoever drinks from a vessel of gold or a vessel of silver only gulps down the Fire into his belly.” ‘Abd al-‘Aziz b. Abi Rawwad disagreed with him; he narrated it from Nafi‘, from Abu Hurayra, as his saying, and he did not mention gold and silver. The sound version of all that is the hadith of Ayyub, and God knows best.
