✧ Mentioning the Virtue of What the Seekers of Refuge Recite

أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ يُونُسَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَتَعَوَّذُ مِنْ عَيْنِ الْإِنْسَانِ وَعَيْنِ الْجَانِّ حَتَّى نَزَلَتِ الْمُعَوِّذَتَانِ فَلَمَّا نَزَلَتَا أَخَذَ بِهِمَا وَتَرَكَ مَا سِوَاهُمَا»

Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ used to seek refuge from the evil eye of humans and the evil eye of jinn until the two refuge-seeking surahs were revealed. When they were revealed, he adopted them and abandoned everything else.
