machine translationHishām b. ʿUrwah narrated it, and there is disagreement about it from him. Ḥumayd b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Ruʾāsī, Abū Usāmah, ʿAbdah b. Sulaymān, ʿUmar b. ʿAlī al-Muqaddamī, Ḥafṣ b. Ghiyāth, ʿAbd al-Raḥīm b. Sulaymān, ʿAbdullāh b. Qabīṣah al-Fazārī, and ʿUthmān b. ʿUthmān al-Ghaṭafānī, one of the trustworthy (thiqāt) and righteous, the maternal uncle of Abū ʿUbaydah Maʿmar b. al-Muthannā, narrated it from Hishām, from his father, from ʿĀʾishah. But Wakīʿ, ʿAbdullāh b. Idrīs and Jarīr differed from them, and narrated it from Hishām, from his father, as a mursal report (mursal). The ḥadīth of ʿĀʾishah is sound (ṣaḥīḥ), and it seems that Hishām narrated it connected (mawṣūl) at one time and as mursal at another.
