أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ

مَا رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ جَمَعَ أَبَوَيْهِ لِأَحَدٍ إِلَّا لِسَعْدٍ فَإِنَّهُ قَالَ «ارْمِ فِدَاكَ أَبِي وَأُمِّي»

✧ I never saw the Prophet ﷺ combine his father and mother for anyone except Sa'd, for he said, 'Shoot, may my father and mother be your ransom.'
