✧ I was with the Messenger of God ﷺ when some of them said: “O Messenger of God, the wealthy outstrip us in every good: they pray as we pray, they fast as we fast, and they surpass us by giving charity while we find nothing to give, and they spend in the way of God while we find nothing to spend.” The Messenger of God ﷺ said: “Shall I not tell you of something which, if you do it, they will not outstrip you, and no one after you will catch up with you, except one who does the like of your deed? Glorify God after every prayer thirty-three times, praise Him thirty-three times, and magnify Him thirty-four times.”
