أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ عَائِذٍ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ سَعْدٍ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا جَاءَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي لَنَا فَقَالَ حِينَ انْتَهَى إِلَى الصَّفِّ اللهُمَّ آتِنِي أَفْضَلَ مَا تُؤْتِي عِبَادَكَ الصَّالِحِينَ فَلَمَّا قَضَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنِ الْمُتَكَلِّمُ آنِفًا؟» قَالَ الرَّجُلُ أَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ «إِذًا يُعْقَرُ جَوَادُكَ وَتُسْتَشْهَدُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ»

✧ A man came to the prayer while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was praying with us. When he reached the row, he said: “O Allah, grant me the best of what You grant Your righteous servants.” When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished, he said: “Who spoke just now?” The man said: “I did, O Messenger of Allah.” He said: “Then your horse will be hamstrung and you will be martyred in the path of Allah.”
