أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سَمِعَ رَجُلًا يُؤَذِّنُ فِي سَفَرٍ قَالَ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «اللهُ أَكْبَرُ اللهُ أَكْبَرُ» قَالَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ قَالَ «أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ» قَالَ أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللهِ قَالَ «أَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللهِ»

Translation

✧ That the Prophet ﷺ heard a man giving the adhan while traveling. He said: "Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest." The Prophet ﷺ said: "Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest." He said: "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah." He said: "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah." He said: "I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah." He said: "I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah."
