أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَوْدُودٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ قَالَ بِاسْمِ اللهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ فَقَالَهَا حِينَ يُمْسِي لَمْ تَفْجَأْهُ فَاجِئَةُ بَلَاءٍ حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ وَإنْ قَالَهَا حِينَ يُصْبِحُ لَمْ تَفْجَأْهُ فَاجِئَةُ بَلَاءٍ حَتَّى يُمْسِيَ [12] خَالَفَهُ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ رَوَاهُ عَنْ أَبِي مَوْدُودٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَمَّنْ سَمِعَ أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ 9760 أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَوْدُودٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَنْ سَمِعَ أَبَانَ بْنَ عُثْمَانَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَحْوَهُ قَالَ لَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بِغَيْرِ هَذَا اللَّفْظِ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever says: 'In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in heaven can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing,' and says it when evening comes, no sudden calamity will befall him until morning, and if he says it when morning comes, no sudden calamity will befall him until evening. [12] Abd Allah b. Maslama contradicted him; he narrated it from Abu Mawdud from a man from someone who heard Aban b. Uthman. 9760 Muhammad b. Ali narrated to me, he said: Al-Qa'nabi narrated to us, he said: Abu Mawdud narrated to us from a man, he said: Someone who heard Aban b. Uthman say: I heard Uthman b. Affan say: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he mentioned something similar. Abu Abd al-Rahman said to us: 'And it has been narrated from Aban b. Uthman with a wording other than this.'
