أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ أَنَّ سَالِمًا الْفَرَّاءَ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ عَبْدَ الْحَمِيدِ مَوْلَى بَنِي هَاشِمٍ حَدَّثَهُ

أَنَّ أُمَّهُ حَدَّثَتْهُ وَكَانَتْ تَخْدُمُ بَعْضَ بَنَاتِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّ بِنْتَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ حَدَّثَتْهَا أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ قَوْلِي حِينَ تُصْبِحِينَ سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللهِ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ كَانَ وَمَا لَمْ يَشَأْ لَمْ يَكُنْ أَعْلَمُ أَنَّ اللهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ وَأَنَّ اللهَ قَدْ أَحَاطَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عِلْمًا فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ قَالَهُنَّ حِينَ يُصْبِحُ وَذَكَرَ كَلِمَةً مَعْنَاهَا حُفِظَ حَتَّى يُمْسِيَ وَمَنْ قَالَهُنَّ حِينَ يُمْسِي حُفِظَ حَتَّى يُصْبِحَ

Translation

✧ His mother narrated to him, and she served one of the daughters of the Prophet ﷺ, that the daughter of the Prophet ﷺ narrated to her that the Prophet ﷺ said: "My saying when you reach the morning: 'Glory be to Allah and praise be to Him, and there is no power except through Allah. Whatever Allah wills happens, and whatever He does not will does not happen. I know that Allah has power over all things and that Allah has encompassed all things in knowledge.' Whoever says these when he reaches the morning — and he mentioned a word whose meaning is — he is protected until evening, and whoever says them when he reaches the evening, he is protected until morning."
