✧ Riding on the skins of tigers

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَسْبَاطٌ عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ عَنْ مَطَرٍ عَنْ أَبِي شَيْخٍ قَالَ

بَيْنَا نَحْنُ مَعَ مُعَاوِيَةَ إِذْ جَمَعَ رَهْطًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ فِي الْكَعْبَةِ قَالَ «أَتَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى أَنْ تُفْتَرَشَ جُلُودُ السِّبَاعِ؟» قَالُوا «اللهُمَّ نَعَمْ»

✧ While we were with Mu'awiya, he gathered a company of the companions of Muhammad ﷺ in the Ka'ba and said, "Do you know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade spreading the skins of beasts of prey?" They said, "O Allah, yes."
