✧ Riding on the skins of tigers

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِي شَيْخٍ

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ مُعَاوِيَةَ وَعِنْدَهُ جَمْعٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ فِي الْكَعْبَةِ قَالَ «أَتَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ رُكُوبِ عَلَى جِلْدِ النُّمُورِ؟» قَالُوا «اللهُمَّ نَعَمْ»

✧ He heard Mu'awiya, while a group of the companions of Muhammad ﷺ were with him in the Ka'ba, say, "Do you know that the Prophet of Allah ﷺ forbade riding on tiger skins?" They said, "O Allah, yes."
