أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

قَدِمَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مِنْ سَفَرٍ وَقَدِ اسْتَتَرْتُ بِقِرَامٍ عَلَى سَهْوَةٍ لِي فِيهِ تَمَاثِيلُ فَنَزَعَهُ وَقَالَ «أَشَدُّ النَّاسِ عَذَابًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ الَّذِينَ يُضَاهُونَ خَلْقَ اللهِ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ arrived from a journey while I had screened myself with a curtain on a shelf of mine containing images. He pulled it down and said, “The people who will be most severely punished on the Day of Resurrection are those who rival the creation of Allah.”
