أَخْبَرَنِي هِلَالُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَافَى بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْمَدَنِيُّ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِزْرَةُ الْمُؤْمِنِ إِلَى أَنْصَافِ سَاقَيْهِ » وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ خَطَأٌ يَعْنِي حَدِيثَ فُلَيْحٍ وَفُلَيْحُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ لَيْسَ بِالْقَوِيِّ وَأَخُوهُ عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ أَضْعَفُ مِنْ فُلَيْحٍ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The izar of the believer is to the middle of his shins,” and he narrated the hadith. Abu Abd al-Rahman said: This hadith is a mistake, meaning the hadith of Fulayh. Fulayh b. Sulayman is not strong, and his brother Abd al-Hamid is weaker than Fulayh.
