أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَظِيمِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنِ الْحُصَيْنِ بْنِ قَبِيصَةَ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ

رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَخَذَ بِحُجْزَةِ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ سَهْلٍ الثَّقَفِيِّ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ «يَا سُفْيَانُ بْنَ سَهْلٍ لَا تُسْبِلْ إِزَارَكَ فَإِنَّ اللهَ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُسْبِلِينَ»

✧ I saw the Prophet ﷺ grab the waist-wrapper of Sufyan b. Sahl al-Thaqafi while saying: “O Sufyan b. Sahl, do not let your izar hang low, for Allah does not love those who let their garments hang low.”
