أَخْبَرَنِي هِلَالُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

«أَنَّهَا جَعَلَتْ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ بُرْدَةً سَوْدَاءَ مِنْ صُوفٍ فَلَبِسَهَا فَلَمَّا عَرِقَ فَوَجَدَ رِيحَ الصُّوفِ طَرَحَهَا وَكَانَ يُحِبُّ الرِّيحَ الطَّيِّبَةَ»

Translation

✧ She made for the Prophet ﷺ a black woolen cloak, and he wore it. When he sweated and noticed the smell of wool, he threw it off, and he used to like pleasant scents.
