أَخْبَرَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ الْمِصِّيصِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بَابَيْهِ مَوْلَى أَبِي نَوْفَلٍ

أَنَّ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا تَدْخُلُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ بَيْتًا فِيهِ جَرَسٌ وَلَا تَصْحَبُ رُفْقَةً فِيهَا جَرَسٌ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بَابَيْهِ أَقْدَمُ شَيْخٍ سَمِعَ مِنْهُ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ مَكَّةَ

Translation

✧ Umm Salamah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: “The angels do not enter a house in which there is a bell, nor do they accompany a group in which there is a bell.”
