أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْبَصْرِيُّ أَبُو الْجَوْزَاءِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قُرَّةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

«أَخَّرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَاةَ الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ حَتَّى مَضَى شَطْرُ اللَّيْلِ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فَصَلَّى بِنَا كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى بَيَاضِ خَاتَمِهِ فِي يَدِهِ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ»

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ delayed the latter part of the Isha prayer until half the night had passed, then he came out and prayed with us. It is as if I were looking at the whiteness of his ring in his hand, made of silver.
