أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَبِي ثَعْلَبَةَ الْخُشَنِيِّ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَبْصَرَ فِي يَدِهِ خَاتَمًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ فَجَعَلَ يَقْرَعُهُ بِقَضِيبٍ مَعَهُ فَلَمَّا غَفَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَلْقَاهُ فَقَالَ «مَا أُرَانَا إِلَّا قَدْ أَوْجَعْنَاكَ وَأَغْرَمْنَاكَ» خَالَفَهُ يُونُسُ رَوَاهُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي إِدْرِيسَ مُرْسَلًا 9438 أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ السَّرْحِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو إِدْرِيسَ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِمَّنْ أَدْرَكَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَبِسَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ نَحْوَهُ قَالَ لَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَحَدِيثُ يُونُسَ أَوْلَى بِالصَّوَابِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ النُّعْمَانِ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ [375] 9439 أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْقُرَشِيُّ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ قِرَاءَةً قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَائِذٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمْزَةَ عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي إِدْرِيسَ الْخَوْلَانِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ رَأَى عَلَى رَجُلٍ خَاتَمًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ نَحْوَهُ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ saw a gold ring on his hand and began tapping it with a stick he had. When the Prophet ﷺ became distracted, he threw it away. He said: "I fear that we have caused you pain and loss." Yunus disagreed with him; he narrated it from al-Zuhri, from Abu Idris, as mursal. 9438 Ahmad b. Amr b. al-Sarh informed us, he said: Ibn Wahb narrated to us, he said: Yunus informed me, from Ibn Shihab, he said: Abu Idris al-Khawlani informed me that a man among those who met the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wore a gold ring, similarly. Abu Abd al-Rahman said to us: The hadith of Yunus is more correct than the hadith of al-Nu'man, and Allah knows best. [375] 9439 Ahmad b. Ibrahim al-Qurashi al-Dimashqi, from a reading, he said: Ibn A'idh narrated to us, he said: Yahya b. Hamzah narrated to us, from al-Awza'i, from al-Zuhri, from Abu Idris al-Khawlani, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a gold ring on a man, similarly.
