أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ آمُرَ بِحَطَبٍ فَيُحْطَبَ ثُمَّ آمُرَ بِالصَّلَاةِ فَيُؤَذَّنَ بِهَا ثُمَّ آمُرَ رَجُلًا يَؤُمُّ النَّاسَ ثُمَّ أُخَالِفُ إِلَى رِجَالٍ فَأُحَرِّقَ عَلَيْهِمْ بُيُوتَهُمْ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَوْ يُعَلِّمُ أَحَدُهُمْ أَنَّهُ يَجِدُ عَظْمًا سَمِينًا أَوْ مِرْمَاتَيْنِ حَسَنَتَيْنِ لَشَهِدَ الْعِشَاءَ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "By the One in whose hand is my soul, I was about to order firewood to be gathered, then order the prayer to be called, then order a man to lead the people, then go to men and burn their houses down upon them. By the One in whose hand is my soul, if any of them knew that he would find a fat bone or two good sheep's trotters, he would attend the Isha prayer."
