✧ Entry of Transgender into Women's Spaces, and Mention of Differences on Opinions Regarding That Matter

أَخْبَرَنِي هِلَالُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ بَيْتَ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ وَعِنْدَهَا مُخَنَّثٌ فَقَالَ يَا عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ لَوْ قَدْ فَتَحْتَ الطَّائِفَ لَقَدْ أُرِيتُكَ بَادِيَةَ بِنْتَ غَيْلَانَ فَإِنَّهَا تُقْبِلُ بِأَرْبَعٍ وَتُدْبِرُ بِثَمَانٍ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَدْخُلْ عَلَيْكُمْ هَذَا»

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the house of Umm Salamah while a mukhannath was with her. He said: "O Abd Allah b. Abi Umayyah, if you conquer al-Ta'if, I will show you Badiyah, the daughter of Ghaylan, for she approaches with four and turns away with eight." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "This one must never enter upon you."
