✧ The mother-in-law of the woman

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِيَّاكُمْ وَالدُّخُولَ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ» فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ أَرَأَيْتَ الْحَمْوَ؟ قَالَ «الْحَمْوُ الْمَوْتُ»

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Beware of entering upon women.” A man from the Ansar said: “What do you think about the brother-in-law?” He said: “The brother-in-law is death.”
