✧ The rewards of expenditure sought for the sake of Allah the Exalted

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ يَا سَعْدُ «إِنَّكَ لَنْ تُنْفِقَ نَفَقَةً تَبْتَغِي بِهَا وَجْهَ اللهِ إِلَّا أُجِرْتَ عَلَيْهَا حَتَّى اللُّقْمَةِ تَجْعَلُهَا فِي فِيِّ امْرَأَتِكَ»

Translation

  5. ʿĀmir b. Saʿd from his father

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'O Sa'd, you will never spend an expenditure seeking thereby the Face of Allah except that you will be rewarded for it, even the morsel you place in your wife's mouth.'
