✧ The anger of the woman towards her husband

أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيٌّ وَهُوَ ابْنُ مُسْهِرٍ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُ إِذَا كُنْتِ عَنِّي رَاضِيَةً وَإِذَا كُنْتِ عَلَيَّ غَضْبَى» قُلْتُ بِمَ تَعْلَمُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ «إِذَا كُنْتِ عَلَيَّ غَضْبَى فَحَلَفْتِ» قُلْتِ كَلَّا وَرَبِّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِذَا كُنْتِ عَنِّي رَاضِيَةً قُلْتِ كَلَّا وَرَبِّ مُحَمَّدٍ قُلْتُ «صَدَقْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا أَهَجَرُ إِلَّا اسْمَكَ»

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "I know when you are pleased with me and when you are angry with me." I said: "How do you know, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "When you are angry with me, and you swear, you say: 'No, by the Lord of Ibrahim.' And when you are pleased with me, you say: 'No, by the Lord of Muhammad.'" I said: "You have spoken the truth, O Messenger of Allah; I do not abandon anything but your name."
