✧ The right of the man over the woman

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنُ مَالِجٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ خَلِيفَةَ عَنْ حفص ابْنِ أَخِي أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَصْلُحُ لِبَشَرٍ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ لِبَشَرٍ وَلَوْ صَلَحَ لِبَشَرٍ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ لِبَشَرٍ لَأَمَرْتُ الْمَرْأَةَ أَنْ تَسْجُدَ لِزَوْجِهَا مِنْ عِظَمِ حَقِّهِ عَلَيْهَا»

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “It is not proper for any human to prostrate to another human. If it were proper for a human to prostrate to another human, I would have commanded the woman to prostrate to her husband, because of the greatness of his right over her.”
