أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَتَى أَهْلَهُ فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْقُدَ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ» قَالَ النَّسَائِيُّ الصَّوَابُ حَدِيثُ إِسْحَاقَ وَحِدِيثُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ خَطَأٌ

Translation

  3. al-Zuhrī
  4. Abū Salamah
  5. ʿĀʾishah

✧ "When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to his wife and then wanted to lie down, he performed ablution as for prayer." Al-Nasai said: The correct [version] is the hadith of Ishaq, and the hadith of Ali b. Ayyash is a mistake.
