أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ الْحَرَّانِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ بْنِ بُخْتٍ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ قَالَ §رَأَيْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ وَجَابِرَ بْنَ عُمَيْرٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّيْنِ يَرْمِيَانِ فَمَلَّ أَحَدُهُمَا فَجَلَسَ فَقَالَ الْآخَرُ «كَسِلْتَ؟»

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ كُلُّ شَيْءٍ لَيْسَ مِنْ ذِكْرِ اللهِ فَهُوَ لَغْوٌ وَلَهْوٌ إِلَّا أَرْبَعَةَ خِصَالٍ مَشْيٌ بَيْنَ الْغَرَضَيْنِ وَتَأْدِيبُهُ فَرَسَهُ وَمُلَاعَبَتُهُ أَهْلَهُ وَتَعْلِيمُ السَّبَّاحَةِ

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Everything not from the remembrance of Allah is idle talk and diversion, except four traits: walking between the two targets, training his horse, playing with his family, and teaching swimming.
