✧ A man's love for some of his women is more than others.

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

كَانَ النَّاسُ يَتَحَرُّونَ بِهَدَايَاهُمْ يَوْمَ عَائِشَةَ يَبْتَغُونَ بِذَلِكَ مَرْضَاةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ «وَهَذَانِ الْحَدِيثَانِ صَحِيحَانِ عَنْ عَبْدَةَ»

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Isḥāq b. Ibrāhīm
  2. ʿAbdah b. Sulaymān
  3. Hishām b. ʿUrwah from his father
  4. ʿĀʾishah

✧ People would seek to send their gifts on 'A'ishah's day, seeking thereby the pleasure of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Abu 'Abd al-Rahman said: "These two hadiths are authentic from 'Abdah."
