✧ Fuel and Artificial Lighting at Night

أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي أَنَّ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ 5

أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ قَالَ «لَا تُوقِدُوا نَارًا بِلَيْلٍ» فَلَمَّا كَانَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ قَالَ «أَوْقِدُوا وَاصْطَنِعُوا فَإِنَّهُ لَا يُدْرِكُ قَوْمٌ بَعْدَكُمْ صَاعَكُمْ وَلَا مُدَّكُمْ»

✧ He informed him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, on the day of al-Hudaybiyyah, said, "Do not light any fire at night." Then after that he said, "Light fires and prepare food, for no people after you will attain your measure of a sa' or a mudd."
